Boost of Confidence (Pt.2)

“For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have One who has been tested in every way, just as we are – yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16

If you haven’t already, check out “Boost of Confidence (Pt. 1)” here.

Knowing that you have a friend in Jesus should be a confidence boost in and of itself, but it doesn’t stop there!

When Jesus came to Earth, died on the cross, and raised to life again; He bridged the gap. Before this moment things were much more complicated when it came to communicating with God. There were temples that you had to travel to, animals that had to be sacrificed, and only the priest could go before God.

There was a large chasm between mankind and God due to sin. When Jesus entered the earth and defeated death, He bridged that massive gap. Now, not only can you go to God in prayer at any moment of any day, we can do so in confidence!

Jesus knows the pressures of life on Earth. He lived through them himself! Because of this, we don’t have to pray timidly or neglect prayer altogether due to our feelings of inadequacy.

Oh, what confidence this should bring you! We have a friend in Jesus, who is overflowing with mercy and grace.
