Boost of Confidence (Pt.1)
“For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have One who has been tested in every way, just as we are – yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16
You have a friend in Jesus. He is your friend.
You may have heard this before and now it’s just white noise, but take a moment and think about this. You are able to most powerful being in existence, the King of kings, the name above all other names, your friend.
In nearly every other religion, their god is impersonal and unrelatable. He may be supreme ruler, but not a friend. What makes the very real God of Christianity so personable? It is because He sent His Son, Jesus to this Earth to live a life just like you. While Jesus was on Earth He was tempted in every way, physically beaten beyond recognition, ridiculed, and betrayed.
You can call Jesus a friend because He can relate to you. He can empathize with you and the struggles you face.
Take confidence in the fact that you aren’t alone! Your savior understands what you’re going through. Jesus has been in your shoes.
