Stop Talking, Start Doing

You see it all the time on Facebook within the comments section, "Praying for you." You'll encounter kind words from those around you, "I value your opinion." and "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask."

Kindness and good intentions are great, but it can't stop there. In fact in 1 John, John went as far to say that we should solely love through our actions.

"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth"

Do your actions show love? When you tell someone that you'll pray for them, do you actually take the time to pray for them as your scroll through Facebook? When you say you value someones opinion, do you act on it? When someone seems like they may need something, do you do your best to fulfill that need without them asking?

Imagine if when Jesus came to earth, all he did was tell people that he loved them. He preformed no miracles, he never spoke to the multitudes that followed him, and he didn't die on the cross. Words are worthless in showing love without actions to back them up.

Let your actions speak of your love. Stop talking and start doing. Live out the love of Jesus.
